Nerky Main

In the first year, Irene and Anna were thrilled to have 20 live attendees, nearly all of whom brought their own works-in-progress, as well as several electronic submissions from friends across the country. Anna and Irene presented pencil sketches of the first half of the comic book; others brought everything from poetry to jewelry and needle work to recorded music to food art. People really seemed to enjoy the idea of bringing art that wasn't finished. Presentation order was determined mostly by pulling names and titles out of a hat, with Frances Collins-Sussman's incredible chocolate artistic creation serving as the intermission and the comic book saved for the end.
